Crawford has been sidelined for all of August with left wrist inflammation, but he's nearly ready to roll after going 4-for-11 with one home run in three rehab games with Triple-A Tacoma. With Colt Emerson (wrist) and Brendan Donovan (concussion) shelved, Crawford should see plenty of playing time on the left side of the Mariners' infield, once he's activated.

The veteran infielder may only need a couple of outings in the minors before he's cleared to return to the big club for the final stretch of the season.
